My Role in a Design Team
I strive to be a part of design teams that are open to open communication and change. I want to create a space where every voice is welcome, no matter where you came from, what you look like, what culture you're a part of. Creating a team of designers with many different skills and ideas is very important to me.
Design Process
-Role of the Designer
I would have the designer use the Design Thinking approach in the way that they would try to empathize with the user. They would try to think of as many pain points and needs as possible. Try to really think of the user’s perspective.
-Role of the User
The role of the user would be to answer questions asked by the interviewer. They would give detailed responses. Then they would be able to interact with the product as if they were using it in their day to day life.
-Feedback and Iteration
The designer will receive feedback from the user through questions being answered in the interview. The designer will then write down notes or record the interview to document their findings. Notes will also be taken during the observation of the user using the product by the designer. Using those findings, we will then create a prototype and iterate until we've created the user's desired product.
